One nice thing about Vista is that it recognizes a dual core machine and makes good use of BOTH processors. That makes some programs execute much faster than on XP.
So far everything has gone pretty well. Only program that I had problems running was Norton Anti-virus (They upgraded me for free!) and Adobe Acrobat ( I needed an excuse to upgrade from version 5 anyway).
I still believe that if you have a single processor machine you might want to stick with XP but I have changed my opinion for Dual Cores because the native use of both processors gave me a 50% increase in perceived speed.
