I just received my Octopus I purchased, made by glass artist Tracy Jacob while in Haleiwa Oahu Hawaii. It's about 10-12" in size. I'm such a sucker for blown glass, especially being made by hand right there in the store. I bought another big piece of artwork from a local artist as well, but it hasn't arrived here yet, so I still have time to build another wall in my house somewhere to hang it.

yes, they are a bit creepy. I love how the colors float inside the glass. You can put a light inside it too, but I can't be bothered with that sort of thing, I just like low maintenance. It's very entertaining to watch glass blowing, I could sit and stare at that craft all day.

Just be sure that if you do sit and stare at it all day, you get some of those gold glasses, or you can kiss your retinas goodbye.

Jeff~I LOVE it! huge fan of blown glass!! When we lived in New York state we had a large studio in our town with glass blowers. You could go and watch I used to bring the boy scouts there. I wanted to take lessons, but the HUSBAND said NO! with good reason I should not be around fire. It is amazing the talent that goes into each piece blown. sorry for the ramble.

I love it! That is a great piece of glass! Something like that would have a prominent place in our home!

Scott.
