O-L-D Slimline in Cherry…

Actually, curly cherry.

So I posted about this kit a week or so ago. An old (early/mid 90s) 24k gold Slimline kit that was gifted to me years and years ago. The cartridge (and another of that vintage) was dead. Forgot about that. Turned and finished yesterday. When assembling, realized I had nothing to put in the pen. Had a stack of Cross refills delivered today (thanks, Bezos). Assembled tonight. The cherry isn't nearly as figured turned as it was square; I'm hoping that, when it darkens a bit, the figure is a bit more obvious. CA finish.

I like the pen. I've found it hard to show great figure in slimline pens. This pen is clean and neat and should be a very nice user pen.

Scott, it may be the photograph but the pen looks underturned at the centre band and the nib end.

Thanks, Alan. Yeah, photo artifact. I'm not completely satisfied with the profile but wouldn't be gifting this if it was that wonky!
