Nut cracker bowl

Soooo I have been doing different projects because of the kids' class I have been teaching. This bowl is the latest thing I finished to show the kids how big the word of turning is. That there is more than just pens but other useful items to make if your willing to take the time to do it.

Tonight we do some small bowls, this nut cracker bowl is one of the examples I will have for them to see. Should be a lot of fun.

I will get back to more pens after this hopefully.

Cute idea! Wood and finish used?

I used Doctor's Woodshop Pens Plus for the finish because it isn't in contact with food directly and the Pens Plus is a hard, durable finish that should resist nut shells banging on it. Plus that is the only finish I have that I thought would work for this that I like using.
