Nunchucks

My wife's nephew is a black belt to some degree - I don't know the number but it's high - in karate. They visited us for Christmas. We made him a custom set of nunchuck out of ambrosia maple. I did the turning to his length and diameter specifications, he did all the sanding.

His mom mentioned purchasing another set for his birthday so that he has a matched pair.

I would have LOVED those back in the day. My Mom would have HATED them. I got my black belt courtesy of Saturday afternoon Kung Fu movies.

Very nice, I too learned from watching movies and breaking things and bruising myself. Where did you get the hardware? I may have to turn me a set. And break and bruise things again.
