A long time ago, I made a post similar to this one in Casual Conversation. Nothing much happened with it, but I thought I would bring up the idea again.
An idea for attracting more penturners to IAP:
Many IAP members visit stores like Rockler and Woodcraft. I live pretty far from both but I do get to visit every great once in a while. The last time I was there I bumped into a guy buying pen kits. We started talking and I told him about IAP. He had no idea it existed. That got me thinking . . .
Why don't we post a small information sheet about IAP for members to download ... then, whenever we're visiting a brick and mortar store we could print off a few and ask the manager to post them on their bulletin board or leave them by the checkout counter or wherever. The information sheet would describe IAP and include our web addy.
We might just pick up a bunch of new members.
