North Carolina Raleigh Chapter Meeting

As a reminder the NC Raleigh Chapter will have a meeting next Thursday.
Please let me know if you planning on attending and interested in doing a demo.

Here's the information:
When: August 4, 2011 @ 6:30pm start to gather time
Where: WOODCRAFT Store
4317 Pleasant Valley RoadRaleigh, NC 27612
Agenda:
· Introductions
· Housekeeping items to be addressed
· Discussion on what tools are needed in a basic turner's kit
· Demo – to be determined, anyone want to volunteer to give one?
· Pen exchange or anything else that you have turned
· Blank exchange, don't forget to bring one. Doesn't have to be store bought…
· Raffle tickets to be sold at the meeting for blanks and possibly a few kits

Had a good time at the meeting. It was a long drive home but made it safely (obviously!). Let me know when you might have your next one and I'll see if I can make it.

The first Raleigh, NC meeting was a successful start. Great first turn out and the demo that Brooks803 (Jonathan) gave was excellent. A lot of variance in skill levels were present and a lot of good discussions took place.
The announcement for the next meeting will be sent out with a specific date, but there will be one next month.

Hats off the the folks at WC for the meeting space and conversation.

The local chapter seems to be well on it's way!
