Our Favre,
Who art in Lambeau,
Hallowed be thine arm.
Thy bowl will come,
It will be won;
In Phoenix as it is in Lambeau.
And give us this Sunday,
Our weekly win.
And give us many touchdown passes.
But do not let others pass against us.
Lead us not into frustration,
But deliver us to the valley of the sun.
For thine is the MVP, the best of the NFC,
and the glory of the Cheeseheads,
now and forever.
Go get'em. Amen."

Hey Cav,
Very clever and witty:D:D I do hope the Giants don't win.
How about writing one for the Cowboys that we can voice next year. We could have used some kind of prayer last week. Good luck to the Packers.
Do a good turn daily!

I bet Ed is going nuts right about now with the lead changing back and forth. I know we are on pins and needles down here in chilly (not nearly as cold) Florida. If they get in I'm having fondue for our family Super Bowl festivities.

It's easy to read and post during the game. It's called time outs and commercials. :D 69 stretch yaaaaawwwwnnn

I'd have to remedy that. Mine is wireless, so I have my laptop in the recliner in front of tv :D

Cav, we need some offense. But at least the field goal gods are wearing green.[8D]

Oh yeah! Tynes choked. OVERTIME!!!

Sigh. Well I guess we can't have everything. Favre is my favorite (after Peyton) and this is a total let down. Sorry Cav/Ed and all you other Cheddar Heads out there.

Looks like I'll be cheering for Peyton's baby brother in the Superbowl. My third favorite is ANYONE playing against New England!

The Super Bowl should be a good one. Both teams in it really deserve to be there. I know I'm disappointed that my Jags fell short but this past season we had some really good games to watch. Guess we can re-watch them on the NFL network 'til next season starts. ;)

Nope!!! I am a very happy man tonite!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Nowwwwwwwww If only we can get the football gods to cooperate and put a finish to the "perfect" season....Stranger things have happened............ Wide Right?? :D:D:D

My home town boy Eli made it through the whole game without one turnover. Not one of the announcers had any confidence in him during the pre game shows but he came out and played a great game. Though I'm not a big fan of the Giants I'm glad to see they made it to the Super Bowl.

Yes, Roy, religion might have been worth the risk of getting a thread locked! ;)

Oh well, at least Archie Manning is happy!! I have a grudging admiration for the way Eli is playing during this run.

Have to admit it would be pretty awesome to see a new NFL record. Brothers take Superbowl championships one year apart. Father never achieved superbowl record (I don't believe - can correct me if I am wrong.)

I think what would be really awesome is to have brother against brother. I am still in shock, thats three weeks running. For all of you that do not live in the NY area, Eli has really been getting hammered in the newspapers, up until a month ago anyways, since he was selected number one in the draft. Early in the year I started having my doubts, but I always had hope. It took Phil Simms a good 6 years before he really started to cook.
No Archie never made it to the big dance, he was a pretty good (not great) QB on a pretty crappy team. How proud he must be!

Yeah, my sister is in NY area and she doesn't even care much for football .... what a waste. Poor Archie couldn't even watch at times yesterday. As far as timing ... look how long it took Peyton to get there. He's always been great in my book but never could make it over the threshold to the dance (as you called it) so was always one game short of the big win... 'till last year that is.

Maybe now it's Eli's time to shine.... let us have hope anyway!!!

Linda, you are right. Poor Archie, after a great career at Old Miss, played most of his pro career for the New Orleans Saints. The Saints were absolutely terrible at that time, and he resembled a tackling dummy all too often. It would have been interesting to see what he could have done with a decent team.
