My pressure pot was unavailable for the last few days (my local maker space is moving to much nicer digs) and I have a deadline.

Turned my lathe bench into a variable speed vibration table. The speed control adjusts from gentle waves to bounce-the-molds-out-of-the-pen-studio. I had to fasten the mold-holder to the bench so it wouldn't fly off.

I use vibration on my clunky HF drill press Chris...for me it works well. Pressure isn't required, nor is vibration for that matter, about 63 different ways to cast PR. Couple of exceptions that are JHMHO!!!!! WW should be done under pressure as should Alumilite. One step further...WW should be done with Alumilite under pressure because of the shrinkage rate of PR, it can an probably pull away from the wood. Hope that helps.

I use my scroll saw. Seem to work fine started last week and no bubbles...........
And then thanks to the info I gleened from Mr. Don Ward (its virgil )
BTW thanks Don.

Hi Chris:

Not sure what your deadline allows, but I'm out of town until Monday AM. After that I have a pressure pot available to borrow if it's of any use.

I love to share, so if this is something that would help... don't hesitate to ask!
