I love FPs but being a lefty they can be cantakerous in my hands. I have tried many nibs and the nib that came on my Emporer is probably the best nib I have written with although Anthony's large one is very close. I would like a smaller pen however and I am wondering about the stock nib on the Jr. Emporer or any of the other newer CSUSA pens. Can anyone give me any feedback.

What is there to say? They are the same nib as for the Gent/Jr Gent, Statesman/Jr. Statesman. They are virtually identical in writing to the Baron. As far as a steel nib goes, they are average. Compared to a 14kt or 18kt nib, it's no comparison. A casual user probably won't mind the stock steel nib, but a serious buyer/collector will want gold.

Thanks Lou. I have been very happy with the Emporer nib and hoped the newer versions shared an upgraded nib as well since the $$$ is pretty steep. Guess not.[:(]
