For the fourth year, I will host a fall/holiday season potluck at my house.

The next
Ohio IAP Chapter
meeting will be on

Saturday, November 10, 2018

3362 Foskett Rd
Medina, OH 44256

Details are still being finalized, but in addition to the potluck on Saturday, my shop will be open for anyone to come and play and help make a mess on Friday, and Saturday AM.

If anyone wants some hands-on instruction with segmenting, come on down. We will also be prepping blanks for the IAP assistance chores for Visually Impaired Woodturner Programs.

Pending any changes in their plans, three good friends will also be visiting: Chuck Hutchings (Dalecamino); Ernie Borraga (Eborraga) and Wayne Winkelman (Stonepecker). Anyone willing to Chaperone and referee these characters, assistance would be appreciated

Friday - Nov 9
Time: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM (feel free to come after work if that's convenient).
Agenda: Shop is open
Room Location: My basement (We won't hear anyone knocking, so my cell is 330-416-7127).

Saturday - Nov 10
Time: Shop in the AM (10:00+); Potluck 3:00 PM +
Agenda: Potluck and shop is open
Location: 3362 Foskett Rd, Medina, 44256

Anyone and everyone (spouses, friends, kids - "shop" friendly) are welcome to visit/play on either/both days.

If possible, please send me a PM, or post in this thread if you think you will attend, and which day(s).

Se Ya!

Hope for a nice crowd.

We have tentative counts of 6 on Friday and 10 on Saturday, with a few maybe's each day.

All are welcome.

A final reminder for those interested. Looks like a full weekend. Two on Wednesday, Three on Thursday, 5-6 on Friday and 8-10+ on Saturday. Visitors from Colorado, Minnesota, Indiana, Kentucky! Lots to do, and probably not enough time.

Anyone on the fence is welcome to join us.

All loaded up. If you want to cast, i have 2 gallons of alumilte, a million micas, tubes, label making stuff, watch parts, and about every casting thing i could load into the Subie. Even a pressure pot!!

I should be there around 3pm tomorrow

Loaded up and hitting the road. If youu see a Subaru with Banjo Music blaring headed up 71 north. Beep the horn!

Does anyone know if Eborraga will be there the whole weekend or just today? I would love to see some of the casting and ask questions. I was planning to go tomorrow, but thinking about heading over as soon as I can this afternoon to make sure I catch some of the action.
I'd PM him, but since he is on the road...

Thanks for hosting the meeting Mark. I was really happy to get some in person exposure to casting as that is what I am presently considering. I definitely have to set-up outside the house as my wife WILL not appreciate the off-gas from even alumilite.
I also appreciated you demonstrating your processes for creating segmented diamond style blanks.
Looking forward to the next meeting.
