Thanks for approving me so fast, Jeff. Having a blast with a little Rikon I found on craigslist. Pens are fun, but I need to work on improving my quality, and need to pick up my finishes a notch.

More kits on the way, looking forward to hints and such from this forum.

Good to have another Indy pen maker on board. we "used to have a pen turners chapter in Indy" but it seems to have dried up or got plowed with the snow. If you're interested, we have demos at the Rockler store in Castleton and you'll get some tips there to take home and try. The store can give you the dates or PM me and I'll fill you in. This site, IAP, is your BEST resource, enjoy.

Clubbed?

I stopped up at Zionsville on a Sunday afternoon, a few years back. A turners group, nice bunch of fellows, I knew I was in the right place, some of them still had shavings in their (gray) beards. Might just have to do that again.

I could stop up at Rockler, almost hate to walk in that place, costs me money every time. Usually there on Saturdays, I'm guessing??

For now, I'm going to do some more reading. And turning.... have parts on the way this week.
