Hi All!
I've been turning pens for about a year. I work on the North Slope of Alaska in the oil fields with a 3 weeks on 3 week off work schedule. Lots of time for a hobbie. There are lots of old, rotting tree limbs in my back yard that I've been stabilizing with great success. It's been as much fun stabilizing the wood as turning pens. I'm always looking for new media to use and would like to learn more about decals, pictures, etc. to put under my finish. Also would like to know of other good finishes other than CA. I like the CA finish but it's a pain to wear a mask to handle it. Looking forward to learning from the broad experience here.
Thanks,
Barry Walker
