Hi all,

This is Zac over at NV Woodwerks in the Reno/Tahoe area in Northern Nevada. Just wanted to introduce myself, and thank everyone who has written the articles that I have read so far that have helped me out tremendously.

I've been turning for over a year now, but in moderation. I run a custom furniture business that's just starting out as well, and I got bitten by the turning bug. I wanted to get into turning so that I could make my own knobs and other random stuff, but then I started turning pens and other small items for fun. Now I've decided to try my hand at selling a thing or two! So, the IAP is right up my alley, and I'm glad this resource is available. I'll no doubt be frequenting the site, and hopefully I will learn enough to eventually help others out too.

Hey Marc, are you involved in the Woodchucks too? I have debated joining, but it's a bit of a drive from Gardnerville to get to events, and I'm spread pretty thin on time. But, I have met quite a few people in it, taken classes at WW Source, and I've thought about looking into it.
 
Hey fastgas, I just moved up from Vegas a couple years ago, I don't miss the desert summer, but I always miss spring and fall! Perfect weather! I was an appraiser when I was in LV, and I always loved heading over to Pahrump to do inspections.
 
I feel like a world traveler now!
