New to the Hobby

I am new to the hobby. My lathe and other gear is on the way via UPS. I did a quick intro post, linked below. I live on the south side of town in Sienna Plantation. If anyone in this area would like to share knowledge, pointers, tips, etc., I'm open to any and all help.
