The jig i made for circular insert pieces is showed here.
I made a wooden sanding table with a slot in it. The knob is used to adjust the distance from the swivel-pin roughly. the 2 bolts are the fine-tuning bolts.
For each size insert a swivel block is made. These are sanded to about the size of the insert pieces. The blocks are cut on the saw so the insertpieces can be placed on the blocks. THe first piece is sanded roughly, fittin and adjusting until it fits perfectly. Then i make a few because the jig is set to the exact size.
M10 insertnuts are used. the M10 bolts work perfect in very small adjustments. When i start the bolts are out 10 mm or so, to have playroom.
