We decided not to wait until our old BooBoo has passed on, and got another dog while he is still with us.
This little puppy, shown here sleeping in our bed, is already the new ruler of the house. He is extremely cute, smart and very lively. He is a miniature dachshund and will weigh-in at around 10 lbs when fully grown. Now he weighs about 4 lbs, and is 14 weeks old. He is, as are our two other dachshunds, a rescue dog (a rescue organization has bought him and his brother off an auction where he and other puppies were sold to puppy-mills). He is a pure-bread, red smooth haired dachshund and both parents are AKC dogs.
BTW, his name is "Woofgang der Wunderhund" (Woofgang the wonderdog) - I had to ask my brother Wolfgang if we can name him like we did - and he felt quite honored.
