Hi, My name is Ken Hering from Chippewa Falls, Wi Just started turning pens, and like it A LOT!!! I just retired last Aug and was looking for a hobby to have fun. I really enjoy making the pens,I really like the bullet pens or the bolt action pens, and would like to fine tune my work but I would also like to fine a way to sell my work so I can buy more pens!!!! I can`t seem to fine craft shows around here unless I am looking in the wrong place. Any help here would be appreciated.

Selling is tough! I met a jewlery designer today working on my daughters wedding ring. She about dropped dead when she saw non-bic pens. She wanted 30 business cards and wanted, I quote "can I have 20 of whatever by Christmas?...Do you do birthdays?...I saw a wine label the other day...oh, I have a decal from a Rock Band"....see what I mean? Any style, any wood, any casting...anytime. At first it's fun, then it's a job. Get all your skill down then have a ball! I really hope that doesn't sound synical...pens are more fun than that!
 
Welcome Ken from a retiree in McKinney, Texas. IAP is a fantastic learning and sharing place. Lots of good people and some of the people are also the best vendors when you need anything.
