Hello everyone. I'm a new pen turner from Vermont. Since all it seems to do for half of the year is snow and be cold, I thought I would start learning how to turn pens. I have had a blast so far and am happy to find this site!

Hi Rick welcome. I have a brother-in-law that lives in Brattleboro, he loves the snow he goes snowmobiling all over the state. He has a summer place by Lake Champlain. You can learn a lot on here, enjoy.

Welcome from just a wee bit south, where it is also just snowing and being cold, although today we may hit 50 F, but we're expecting more snow by Wednesday.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I must say, being new to pen turning that I've seen many incredible pens on this site. I hope I can make pens like that someday!
 
Welcome from Oklahoma. You will be amazed at the help and expertise of the members. This is by far the best and most helpful site I've been a part of. Been turning pens for nearly 2 years and learn something new every time I turn a pen.

Enjoy each moment of turning. It's truly an amazing hobby/skill/business -whatever you want.
