Some of you know I was looking to get a Motorhome and I've spent the last 2 weeks looking. As I'm not overly endowded with money (boy did I leave myself open for Cav)I was looking to get the most for as little money as possible.I ran across this at a consignment lot in N. Texas a 1999 Bounder by Fleetwood with 34,000 miles so clean you would not belive and had all the bells and whistles we were looking for except Satellite Dish. Will get one installed next week. The owner was asking $29,000.00 and had come down to $27,995.00 I offered $20,000.00 he came back with $21,000.00 I was fully expecting him to come back with something in the range of $25-26. I said OK only if he would pay the $350.00 Dealer fee for checking the unit out and if anything found wrong with the exception of cosmetic it would be fixed out of the $21,000.00 and he agreed. I pick it up Tuesday so watch out for me as I come through with my hand out for gas money.

Very sweet looking. What a life....turn pens....drive across country....sell pens....repeat.

Really happy for you Roy!

Mike & Linda

Dozer its gas, we tossed it back and forth gas vs diesel and all of the diesels we found were $10,000.00 more in the same condition and had 80-120 thousand miles. I know a diesel will go for 250-300 thousand miles or more before needing resleaving and a well maintained gas engine should give you 150-175 thousand the trade off is the start up cost being 8-10 thousand more and the cost of fuel being .25 to.35 per gal more. All that I've talked to including some Motor home dealers said @ 60-65 miles an hr I should get 8-10 and a diesel would get maybe 9-12. Now if I sell as many pens as our blued eyed butterfly:Dthis year I'll get a diesel pusher next year:D;).

Drive over and see Anthony. While you're there have the guy who painted his Element fix you up. Just take plenty of money.[:0][:p]

roy, i think you got a good there well done. but it wont be any good over here in the uk as gas is $8.50 a gallon.[V]

Very nice Roy. But, the big question is: Will the wife let you turn pens in that thing? We know you want to.:)

Wow Roy. You bringin' it to the Feb 23rd Bubbasville at my place?

We got plenty of parking and camping space on my 10 acres. Y'all more'n welcome. [8D]

Nice going Roy, congratulations! We are looking to get something in the future but haven't decided on a 5th wheel or motorhome.

Nice ride Roy. I use an older '84 class c 24 footer that I bought brand new a long time ago. I won't part with it no matter how much she complains. The best part about them are when you have a great weekend show and you are going home, you just turn off the wrong exit, head to the lake and spend a couple of days fishing, relaxing, and of course turning. Did I forget to mention the 8x12 trailer that has a generator and a lathe setup in it? Bring plenty of pre setup blanks and really get to relax. It a great feeling when you have turned a nice pen while looking over the water and then jumping in for a swim. I hate winters. I want to go to the lake now. :)
Good luck with it and enjoy the little side trips,
Johnnie

Will be talking to my accountant about the best way to write it off after all its strickly for business:D;)well maybe a little monkey business.

Get lots and then get in that thing and come out to California and visit says goog voice:D

Add a trailer, say 18 feet - little 2000 watt generator, power both-mobile jet VS mini - you won't have to die, you're already in heaven.

(May want something to keep the other half occupied, too - nice sewing machine???)

Great find, just stay out of the Northland. Those things are NOT pretty when the water freezes.

Awesome ride there Roy. You need a class A to drive that? You know 10 miles per gallon is as good as a Hummer gets. As far as a diesel goes, you should get more than 300,000 on a diesel. I just retired my diesel powered Volvo at 1.2 million and it was never re-built, although it was starting to need it. It's all about how you drive it and take care of the maintenance. It's quite amazing that most people don't use diesel over gas when you think about it. I pull 45,000 pounds of dog food with a 30,000 pound truck and trailer and get 7 miles to a gallon. That's more than 10 times the weight of a hummer that gets only 2 miles more than me. You did really good, and I'm jealous. My jealousy will subside though when eventually you have to go to a mechanic! You're welcome to park that baby in my driveway too, it's plenty big and I have the extra long heavy duty extension cords for your power source.:D

Hey Roy, thats cool but you should have got the new one from Volkner Mobile. It's just been on one of our TV car programs. It has a sports car on a tray underneath it!!!! £750 000.00 ( $1.5 mil ) and thats without the car!!!!

THE 2 MOST HAPPY DAYS OF OWNING A BOAT AND A RV ARE THE DAY YOU BUY THEM :) AND THE DAY YOU SELL THEM. :D I just got out of it, been in it for 28 years. The last one was a 2005 class C 2 slides and gas was only $1.88gal when I got it new in 2005, but now 3.00 to 4 - 5 a gal I am out. [8D][8D]

Jeff, your right about diesel and hopefully I maintain this one and get 150-200 thousand miles at that time it will be ready to trade, but at this time it was what I could afford...:D[:p]
