Hello, fellow pen turners.

I'm Allan and I hail from the Antelope Valley (Mojave Desert) in Southern California. I've been a woodworker for about 10 years, and a turner for about 5. I mostly turned bowls until January, when I took up pen turning while recovering from some minor surgery. Compared to bowl turning, pen turning is like instant gratification.

Given I already had some decent turning skills, pen turning wasn't such a steep learning curve. But, I'm always learning something, and that's why I've joined IAP. If IAP is anything like WoodNet, I'm sure I'll learn more here than anywhere else.

Pen turning it's pretty addicting and this place is as good as Woodnet, you're in luck.

Hello!
We could do with some of your desert warmth in our part of the world at the moment, after being in Tucson for a week (nice cozy 70s) and then coming back to 0C it has felt a little cold... BRR.
