My names Pete Nichols, known as Brit, a native English man now living in Tennessee for the past 8 years. I have been an avid woodworker and hobbyist for many years, but have never made pens, so am totally new to this.
I am reading through the site and learning lots of things needed to get started.
I am sure by looking at some of the pictures of the incredible work you folks have created that I have started in the right place. I will be sure to post some pictures when I get my first pens made.

Thanks for the welcomes everybody. Bought a small desk top lathe on Friday, ordered some tools, need a few more shortly I am sure. Eager and ready to get turning. It sure will be easier to carry a few nice pens to show perspective customers than the picnic tables, benches and other things I normally make.
I cant wait to get Barry Gross's book, and then its All systems Systems Go!!!!
