Just wanted to say hello from central KY. Been turning off and on for a year or so. I got started when I was at a friends house (he bought his son a mini lathe) and he asked if I wanted to make a pen. I had never even thought about it, but said wtf... lol. That started the madness. I bought a lathe, a lot of other stuff, and have had a lot of fun. I pretty much learned a little from my buddy, some from various online info, and a WHOLE LOT from trial and error. I'm the farthest thing in the world from being an expert on this, but thankfully I have got a good grasp on the basics.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello! I don't have a lot of pics of pens I have made, but attached is a recent one that I thought turned (lol) out pretty good.

My time is very limited, due to working, pen making, wife/kids, etc., but I really look forward to participating here when I have some spare time!

Welcome from Maine, I have been to Ft. Knox a while back. Went to my son-in-laws graduation, Calvary scout. The Patton Museum was great!
