I am a new pen turning in the Pacific Northwest (the Columbia Gorge to be exact). So far I have made about twenty pens from PSI starting with basic Trimlines and Designers, and moving through the Gatsby and into the Majestic Jr. and Squire series. Ultimately I would like to make them for my clients and maybe sell a few, but I have to perfect my technique first. I seems to learn a trick or two (or what NOT to do) with each new pen. Looking forward to learning even more about the art here, as well as eventually being able to offer some advice to others as well.

Greetings to you from Spokane, WA. If you find yourself in the Spokane area frequently, let me know and I can send you information about our Pen Turners Club.

Glad to have you here.

Thanks for the warm welcome. For those that asked, I am on the Washington side of the Columbia, across from Hood River. Not sure if this is kosher here or not, but can anyone recommend a place in Portland that has a good selection of kits and blanks? Up until now I have been ordering from PSI and I just placed and order with Craft Supplies USA. It is always nice though to have somewhere "local" where you can see the product in person before you buy it.

Thanks,

Matt
