We seemed to have a couple of problems with the last homebrew trade so i came up with what i think is a better way to do it.

This time, i think we should do it more like the pen cache.

The way it works:

We will run a sign up for a week or two. I will fill a USPS flat rate box with homebrew blanks, and other random pen stuff to fill space. I will mail the box to the first person. They will take what they want, and replace it accordingly. Then they will send the box to the next person on the list, and so on. When the box makes it back to me, i will start it off again. Sort of a perpetual Pen cache situation. This way, everyone will actually get some choice of what they want to take, and much less odds of getting a box full of trash. It will also help guarantee everyone participates properly As there would be a list of upset people if someone stopped the cycle instead of individuals being upset that they recieved nothing while others recieved massive goodie packages.

Rules:

NO COMMERCIAL BLANKS (unless you own the business that manufactures the commercial blanks!

Whatever you take, you must replace equally or better. In other words, don't take an Emperor kit and replace it with a slimline.

You must replace the homebrew blanks you take with homebrew blanks.

You must sign your homebrew blanks or tag them (so the end owner knows where they came from)

If you sign up, you agree to reship the cache in a timely manner. Say 7 days or so?

If all of this sounds good, then sign up here! We will let it run for a week or two, and i will ship the box. After that, people can still sign up, they will simply be added to the end of the list.

Not to bust a bubble but wouldn't this in fact be the same as before, just taking longer to get? First few people would still limited choices of what they get. For example first person would only have choices of homebrews that Ron makes up, second person would have choice of possibly 2 people....

That being said maybe we could possible get maybe 6 or so to donate to get it started so there is more of a mix of different homebrews?

Also maybe use 2 boxes start on somewhere in the middle working same direction or from bottom of list going forward. Got to keep in mind with just 8 people signing up it would be 2 months to make it through the list with 7 day turnaround. There was enough signed up for last one for it to take 6 months to go thourgh the list.

I could start a box also or go ahead and send some to Ron to start it off. I got some homebrew blanks I've purchased and haven't got a chance to turn. I also planned on purchasing some others next week. Could go ahead and order extras to add to this.

I would like to join, but even though I could put the package back in circulation within a day or two, it may still take up two(2) weeks to make it back to a USA destination. You decide if you still want me to participate. No hard feelings either way : )

He said that when it gets back to him, he'll start it off again. So the box will keep making the rounds and eventually everyone will have a chance to pick from what they might have missed before. You could cut the turnaround time to two days, and if you didn't have anything ready when it gets to you, just go ahead and mail it on to the next person.
