Over in our Vendor Forum you will find an assortment of our new Gisi Style pen blanks for Sierra (and similar) pen kits. Most are made from an assortment of exotic hardwoods, some are made from synthetics but all will make some pretty spectacular pens.

What does 'gisi' mean? Is it just a made up word to describe this sort of chevron-type design? or is there some other derivation of the word?
Thanks

Mark and Brian Gisi are well known penmakers that originated and popularized this style of segmenting. Pen Blanks that stylistically borrow strongly from their work are commonly referred to as "Gisi Style" to both give credit and also serve as a descriptive adjective.
