Mark and Brian Gisi are well known penmakers that originated and popularized this style of segmenting. Pen Blanks that stylistically borrow strongly from their work are commonly referred to as "Gisi Style" to both give credit and also serve as a descriptive adjective. What does 'gisi' mean? Is it just a made up word to describe this sort of chevron-type design? or is there some other derivation of the word?
Thanks
