Welcome from Ohio. My wife also loves penturning... she swipes my nicer pens... (with my blessing - then I have to make more). :)

Enjoy!

Well Harry I can't post the pen I made because it is on my desk at school. My daughter started it. For Christmas she drilled and tubed a pen blank for me and gave me lessons and lots of hands on help to turn that pen. It scared me to death. But I did get it done with her help.

I have some pictures of a couple pendants I have made but I can't post them here because they are not pens. I will look for the "Other things I turned" area.

Here we go folks this is the first and only pen I have made. My daughter drilled the blanks and glued the tubes in for me. She gave this to me for Christmas along with a note that it came with lessons to learn to turn pens. She was a great teacher and helped me so much including holding the gouge with me. Talk about a role reversal and I appreciate her patience and love.

I will say pen turning scared me to death because the chatter of the tool on the wood is just not the sound one hears when they sew, which is my first learned craft. I still am not used to the sounds even with all the turning my daughter and numberonehubby do. There is a learning curve for sure and hope to move past this. Thank you for looking and reading too.
