Hello folks, I have been turning for a few months now, I have learned a lot, and have way more to learn. I am not much of a "poster", but I do a lot of reading. You folks have pushed quite a bit of very good and helpful information out to folks in need of help. This is a great place

Thanks

Steve Simmons

Welcome Steve, from far west Kentucky, to the addiction, sometimes referred to as the vortex. You mention that you have read some of the site, be sure to give the library a good bit of time. The link is at the top of the page. You will find an article called Library Index. This covers tutorials on about anything pen making you can think of. You will also notice that there are articles listed by year. Much good info there as well. When these fail to answer your questions, by all means post it here. I have never seen one go unanswered very long. You might also want to give this thread a good look. It has some very good info for the beginning pen turner; http://content.penturners.org/articles/2009/Getting_started_in_penturning.pdf. Grab some wood, make some shavings and have fun all the while being safe.

Welcome Steve. I have to warn you. Turning is an addition. This is a great forum. We have a lot of great reads and knowledgeable people here. I look forward to seeing some of your work.

Thanks for the welcome(s) from everyone.

Renowb, we live south of Old Town Spring, but North of the Bush airport. My shop is very small, very, very small. And I am working on that. I am enjoying the reading and learning.

Old Town Spring, man my wife loves that place! Just like I love buying pen stuff she loves going there and spending bookoo money!
We go watch the planes land at the airport occassionally. Anyway, post some pen pics when you get a chance.

Thanks for the welcome(s) from everyone.
