Just wanted to say hi. Picked a lathe up because I wanted to turn duck calls, but getting all the chucks and such was a little expensive to drop in one shot. I started with pens and have really enjoyed the satisfaction and frustration on the learning curve. Been turning since January, and hooked for life.

I turn a few Duck Calls using pen making tooling. Collete chuck holding a home made 5/8" pin chuck. I don't tun the inserts or make my own sound boards, but the barrels are fun to make and use with a commercial insert.
