Hi am new to pen turning and turning in general,I am 62 male with lots of disability's so i have turned to this to alleviate the boredom as i was a hard worker with several jobs now i cant work and it is not good to sit around all day doing nothing.

Quite right too - far better to be sat around turning pens on a lathe...
I sit when I turn smaller things that don't need me leaning over to look along the lathe bed. Much more comfortable and gets the feet up off the cold floor.
