It looks pretty much like the stretch kit that Arron Lau sells, only with a magnetic cap and post and I agree, it's not really attractive to me either.[xx(]:([:0]

I guess that's why they make different kits, different strokes for different folks :D I happen to like the look of this pen and can't wait to try the magnetic cap out :)

Hmm, don't know if I like the metal cap, have to see it in hand. Now if we can figure a way to pull out the magnet, mount it inside another wood/plastic cap, that may be interesting.

I've always had a need to take something new and tear it apart to see how it works. As a kid (long time ago)my mothers sewing machine fell victim. My father bought an old lawn mower just to keep me off the working one!
- oh 15 years later I was visiting my mom and fixed the sewing machine.

I have turned a couple of the "stretch" version...notice that I have no pictures of them in SOYP...craftsmanship was fine, just not a real pretty pen unless you nail the shape of the body (i.e. Anthony's snakes). I like a curve to my pens and this kit does not seem to support it. I turned, assembled, disassembled, turned, assembled, disassembled, assembled as a b2b and they are passable, just not something that works for me.

I Like it.....sleek and simple, it will be a nice kit to try and with the right material selection I think it will do well.

Last week at Anthony's I saw the snakewood version of this as well as a palm version, I loved them!

;)

A little confused though, it needs a 10.5 mm drill, the one they sell for the Jr Gent II is $5.99, the one they sell for the Zen is $13.99??

Any idea how long the tubes are? I ordered a few for trial and I have a show within a few days of receiveing these, I'd like to pre drill a few blanks, Thanks!!:D
