I've been doing taxidermy for 10 years and skinning snakes still freaks me out!

One tip. When you're scraping the meat off the skin (the taxidermist term is fleshing), scrape only in the direction of the scales ... from head to tail. Doing this will minimize scale damage.

I'm sure it's a great tutorial but as soon as I saw the snake, I had to close it! Love turning the blanks and making the pens, but am scared to death of the real thing... I'll just wait for you to cast some for me Seamus! :biggrin:
