Finally! It's a baby boy.

Went to look at some pups today and brought this home.

It was just meant to be. He came right to us and my wife fell in love with him. He is a full blooded beagle (no papers)9 weeks old and yet to be named. I will post his name when he gets it.

Mater... I think you are correct, there is an English and I can't remember the other.

My wife has named him... his name is Samson.
 
I'm laughing reading all of these posts. James' post is a phenomena similar to when Disney's 101 Dalmations comes out. After the movie everybody runs out and buys a Dalmation. Meanwhile, with just his one post James increased the sale of Beagle pups! You guys kill me ..... a bunch of whiskey drinking, cigar smoking, tough as nails woodturners ... and you get all sappy and want to go out and buy a Beagle puppy. What's with you guys?

Cute puppy. Reminds me of when my wife and I got our first puppy. We only went to the breeders to look. Yeah right. When the puppy first came up to me that was it, we were hooked. I hope your puppy brings you as much joy and happiness as ours has. There isn't a day goes by that he doesn't make me laugh.
 
I believe that Samson fits him quite well. He is definitely going to be a great addition to your family. Congratulations to you and the wife on your choice. Samson looks like he is very happy with his choice of humans as well! :biggrin:
