Um, lemme 'splain:
Some of you may remember that I needed someone to cast some shredded Canadian money for me. Several of you amazing people offered to help and because I had to choose someone, I went with Neil because several members PM'd me to recommend him.
I sent him a bag of shredded cash and he asked if he could get a couple of blanks out of it. He replied and said that he could make more than a couple and asked how many I wanted. I wrote back to say that if I could get 5 (to account for lots of mistakes!) I would be a happy man. I also asked if he had a couple of leftover coffee bean blanks to throw in and offered to send cash for blanks and shipping.
Fast-forward a little bit and a box arrived at my door today. It was full of PERFECT shredded money blanks (oversize, too, because I said I was makin' BIG pens) and an assortment of coffee bean, stabilized root, worthless wood, and other blanks... Enough to keep me turning for a while.
I don't wanna make him out to be TOO generous, else everybody will be hittin' him up for freebies, but I gotta say that he also included an awesome looking segmented Sierra that looks like brickwork. LOML saw it didn't even pause to ask whose it was or even what it was: She snagged it so fast that I heard the wind whistling as her mitt swung by.
Neil, I can't thank you enough for the magnificent casting and a GREAT box of surprises. I hope I get the opportunity to repay the favour some day. I'll post photos of the memorial pen(s) as soon as I get 'em turned.
