I am wanting to find anyone who sells Flame Box Elder in flat boards, mostly 1/2" and 3/4" thickness, like 4-5" wide by 3' long (or longer). I am also looking for some Sumac wood in the same sizes. If anybody has some or knows a mill who has some, please let me know . Don't need a lot but maybe 10 bf of each. I have checked online but don't find any on my search engine. Please help.

George,
A local small mill near my house in Lakewood WA may have some. Here is a link to their web site, http://www.nwwood.com
They have a lot of woods that are not listed on the site. If you wish, after you talk to them, I could go by and look at what the box elder looks like and if they have any, Take a pic and email it to you. That way you could see the wood.

George, you might give my friend Fritz Hannaman a call later today,he's up here near Burleson, south of Fort Worth,817-473-6660,I know he has some fbo,not sure about the sumac, good luck.

powder creek sawmill as Marcuby mentioned has boards big enough to build whatever you need out of them. Beautiful stuff. He is in Texas as well.
