If you had a choice between deer, elk or moose- what would be anyones preference for turning? Is one better than the other? I have no clue, but I do need to make some up for shows later this fall....thanks ahead of time!

Regardless of choice, they will all "stink". Terrible smell with all three, so make a point of wearing a good respirator and make sure you get good air circulation around the lathe/shop. Smell aside they will all make wonderful pens.

I would consider your customers. If you are in the middle of whitetail country, elk may not sell that well. Just a thought.

WOW! How big is your lathe!?!?!?! Wouldn't the antlers smack into the bed when you turned it on?

And where would you put the live center?
