Need help with an Idea

My nephew is a magician and wants a pen with cards on it. I tried cutting up cards and glueing the aces and face cards to a blank then casting it. I guess the heat from the curing had a reaction with the wax on the cards. needles to saw it didn't work. Any ideas?

Use copies of the cards.
Split the cards. tade off the back. they won't be as stiff and you can glue the 'bare' side to the tube.

Personally, I would go with making copies on photo paper.

Gary nailed it! Use copies. Not only are they easier to work with, you can easily manipulate sizes, colors shapes, etc with virtually any computer.

What about printing cards on a label or decal first? Then apply to tube.

Your nephew is AWESOME. Maybe make some water-slide decals if all else fails?

A "trademark" for magicians is the card fan.
I think I would try faning a 5 or 6 cards cards and scan them, print it on a label, or decal, and apply it.

You can cut aces on blank with scroll saw and fill with resin. Then process blank as usual.
