My sister and BIL will be celebrating their 25th this year, I need to make a pen for the official paperwork.

I was planning on one pen and getting it engraved. I'll worry about the engraving later.

What should I make????

Thanks in advance.

Bob:
I like Monty's suggestion of a sterling silver pen for the 25th. I'm not sure if there's a Lee Valley near you but if there is then there are a couple of nice Sterling silver pen kits here:

As for which one, well that depends on who they are. I'm sure you know their tast better than any of us. Maybe you could look at a "His and Hers" combination.

On the his/her theme, consider the PSI Jr. Majestic (his) and the Squire (her's). They are nice pens and while very different, they share common design features. Also, I like the alternative ivory suggestion. It always makes a classy looking pen.

Silver is a great celebration -- but I would not use white (that would have been right on about 25 years ago) -- but short of going for one of the Boone specials -- there is a silver rod that is sold by the Exotic Blanks folks - in a closed end configuration perhaps a desk pen base of rosewood, blackwood, ebony, or snakewood.

The effect should be well thought of regardless --
