Hi everyone, I new here and new to penturning. So far I love it. I have tried my hand at casting my own blanks and have been able to make decent single color blanks. Now I want to try multi-colored blanks in team colors for Xmas gifts. I know that the NFL has very strict licensing laws and in no way want to violate those laws. Is it acceptable to use the colors only, not using any logos or any other reference to a specific team?

Now on to my question. What is the best way to get the mult-color effect that I'm looking for? Do I cast a thin layer of a single color, let it cure, then add the second, let it cure, and so on?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am fairly new to casting myself but what we have done is to figure out what the setting time for the single color is then when you figure that out you just mix a little less than what you would for a single color pour it then mix your second color when you are getting close to your set time then pour the second color in and you should be able to get a nice swirl effect.

Oh also I know the nfl os some powerful people but I don't think they own the rights to colors.
