Hey Mannie,

Why stabilized? Not meant to argue, maple is pretty tough stuff, does the stabilizing make the dye sink in better? Or why?

Thanks

Ed, not sure that stabilizing makes the natural turn better, but what I'm really in need of is about 6 red and 6 blue dyed blanks along with 6 natural. I've only seen the dyed through and through blanks in the stabilized form. I use these in making my Texas flag pens.

In the next month, I may have them on the website. I got samples yesterday, they look great.

Meanwhile, have you considered sending them to rrpwhite for coloring - I can give you the wood and send it to him, then have him ship the finished stuff to you (for the cost of his dying and shipping, only)

Let me know.

Ed,
Appreciate the offer. I'll check with rrpwhite and see what the cost would be. I'm also waiting on a response form another source as to cost. If Dawn will let you, read my answer to her PM for a little insight to my quest.

Monty -- how do you do your Texas pens? Any pics posted?
