Is there any kind soul out there like in FL, maybe around Boca Raton or elsewhere that would have the time and inclination to gather up a box of the tiny "pine cones" that are on the Australian Pines that are down there. I understand that this tree is not really a pine and the cones grow on a stem but I need to get a bunch. They are wonderful for pens when cast in a pearl white acrylic. These cones are about as big as the last joint of your little finger. These trees are considered an invasive pest plant and are being cut down all over the state. I'd like to get some before they disappear altogether.

I would be happy to compensate either in cash or trade blanks or whatever you want. They are very light weight and wouldn't cost much to send a box full.

So who's game to help an old penturner? Here are a couple of picture to identify the tree but the little tiny cones are the real giveaway.

These 2 doesn't usually go together.

If you don't get any bite...consider sharing casted blank as trade.

Hey Bob,

This is a great idea. I went and looked and there are all kinds of neat stuff that could be cast in addition to the Casurina cones.

Many thanks, George
