but I told her there was plenty of room for more blanks!

Each recycled box holds around 50 blanks. I have them alphabetically ordered starting with the last four boxes on the right and going straight down. The first three boxes from the left and going down two more rows are Bottle Stopper blanks. The next two rows of three boxes are pen blanks other then wood. The next two rows of three boxes are unknown wood blanks that I will get around to identifying someday. The last are bowl blanks. I keep reorganizing as my collection grows. Hope to get more when the wife lets me, lol.

Some blanks I have been cutting up. Lots of beech, dogwood, oak, and locust!

Some more beech, oak, sassafras, locust, and assorted branches of various woods.

The rest of my shop is more cluttered or I would show it.
Thanks for looking.

Nice job.
I am trying to put mine in reverse alphabetic order that way if I get stopped by the people with the flashy lights on top of their cars, I might have a chance to get the alphabet correct.

I don't think you have nearly enough. Please post your address so we can all send you some to help you out by sending you some.

I like the concept, but cardboard boxes? When you make ebony shelves and Boodwood frame, I'll be impressed..

My filing system is much more simple... everything I own is within 10 feet of the center of the shop....

We are offering a "help therapy" session on the 28th Rob, I'm sure your wife would approve:wink:. Organization looks good guy.

Yep, orginization is a sign of a sick mind! And I suppose you are able to walk around your shop without tripping over something?

I'm not as organized but the LOML has went online and ordered blanks without telling me. Nice surprise when the boxes arrive.

Nothing wrong with alphabetizing, I have all my plain Jane blanks in a file cabinet in order with lettered dividers.

And NO, I am not joking.

But, I do need a better way to store the rest of my blanks.

Way too organized for me..I dont see any places for blanks that you forgot you had to suddenly be stumbled upon. If you need a perticuar wood, with your system you can go right to it, with my system, I would spend several hours looking for it, find a bunch of other crap instead, get side tracked, and then go buy more of what I couldnt find..see, my way is better

There is an anatomical description for your condition, but this being a family site, can't really describe it for you. Looks nice and clean, do you work in your shop?? Everything in mine is covered with dust.

Lol, you guys can't see the rest of the basement. I cropped the pictures. I have stacks of stuff everywhere. I think my blanks are the only thing that is organized.

Chris, if I could find a buyer for the wood - I would sell most so I could buy a reliable car. The good news is that my father-in-law said I could borrow his to go to my next meeting.
