I just read Bobalu's post about his wife not liking his deer antler.....I guess I'm lucky... my wife looks for antler for me to turn.... anytime she sees a pen she'll comment on how it would look on an antler... I used to go to a guy down in Texas that had a game farm and sold his drops from his "antique" shop - more of a junk shop, but he had an 8 x 20 room in the back that was full of antler from just about any kind of deer that could be raised... too far away now, but every time I stopped she would beat me to the room to pick out the antler.
Yesterday a neighbor, who I had met at next door neighbor's barbecue about a year ago, stopped by my house. She had remembered that I had said something about using deer antler to make pens and such... she had gone to a garage sale and the seller had a box of antlers for sale... she said she paid $40.. maybe or not... not important... she remembered me and picked up the box on speculation and brought it by... my wife immediately agreed to her price and paid her for me.... guess the shop now owes the household account $40..
This is what she brought by... I'm sure there's plenty of pens in this box to recoup my $40.
