Well I have had just about the worst week EVER. Still have a few days to go too! Monday I get a call from my fiance from work and she asks if I'll take one of the dogs at her mothers farm to the vet bc he wasn't acting right. I take him to the vet and they pretty much immediately say they have to put him down due to severe kidney failure. They think he may have gotten into antifreeze or a similar toxin. He was a good dog and shouldn't have had to suffer like he was. So Monday sucked bad, Tuesday comes and I get a call from Shea (fiance) that the lady that rented her house packed up and moved out without notice and just left a note saying she left and the key...along with many many many many repairs needed to the house from TOTAL lack of upkeep. Including carpet stained orange from being used as a toilet by her dogs. Contacting a lawyer over this part, so Tuesday sucked. Wednesday Shea gets word that her maid of honor can no longer attend our wedding due to family health crisis with her father in law. So now no matron of honor, now Wednesday sucked. Now we get to today...after the events so far in the week we are in pretty sad shape. So of course when we arrive home from buying tons of cleaning and painting supplies for the house we find a stray PITBULL attacking and trying to kill one of our farm dogs. A neighbor was trying what she could to pull them apart but couldn't, luckily we pulled up and ran over and Shea pinned the pitbull down (thank you Jiu Jitsu) and I ended up having to gouge the eyes of the dog to get him to release ours (thank you discovery channel). So we rush ours to a vet and they say he'll be ok in time. He has bad bites on his leg and neck but none fatal. The dog missed the vein and artery. Now we are waiting on animal control to come and take the pitbull away. So Today has SUCKED bigtime. I am glad that no human was bitten in the process. Ok had to get that off my brain. I think I'm staying in bed tomorrow to break the unjustly curse that has been put upon me.:beat-up:

Yes tomorrow would be a good day to sleep in. Sad to hear about the run of bad luck. Hope your dog recovers and the Matron can be replaced. It's always hard to lose a family pet/friend.

Chin up. Enjoy your sleep tomorrow...

Jonathon:

If I had the kind of week you have had SO FAR, there would be two things you could count me as doing:

1. Friday, sleep in

2. Be nice to Shea! Any woman that can bring down an attacking pit bull with her bare hands DEMANDS your sweetest demeanor! :)

Just more proof that no matter how bad things are ..... they can always get WORSE!

Here's hoping it turns around for you now! :)

(and I agree with PenMan1 ... better be nice to that lady!)

Thanks Andy, I have already learned this lesson time and time again. When Shea and I first started dating we were taking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu together so I know exactly how tough she really is :beat-up:

Thanks Hans. You were about to get an PM from me letting you know we got your email on the wedding. Just had all this happen before we could get back with you.

Boy I hope this puts asmile on you face. Sorry tried to put a funny on here about "Trunk Monkies" but couldn't get it to copy properly. Good luck with the rest of the week.

Jonathon, hate to hear all of this bad stuff. A little good news, got the blanks and turned a couple of pens today and they look great.
Turned easy and really polished up nicely. Tried to take a couple of pictures, but the battries are all dead. Put that on my wife's to do list. Thanks again.

Hi Jonathon,

Wow, what a week you had. I am glad you fiancée is not injured and no one was biten by the pitbull.

Yes, sleeping in tomorrow a good idea.

Take care, buddy.

Well, Fri went without much. Today however it started all over again. Had to take Henry (the one that was attacked by the pitbull) to the emergency vet today for a possible broken leg. He was bitten badly on his front right leg and now his front left leg may be broken. Dunno if it was from the attack or not, he was walking on it earlier today but started crying out in pain all of a sudden. Didn't see what happened. Also his bite wounds are infected and may require surgery. Poor guy, all he was doing was protecting his home. I wish I could find the owner of that darn pitbull!

Well, the leg is broken. Henry is on a better antibiotic now. Don't know how this will all go as far a surgery is concerned. Emerson, if I had the means to do so I would have done just that.

Sheesh, what a week you had. That takes the cake. Similar to my brother who left a sliding glass door open and skunk walked in. He tried to put a blanket over it to keep it away from the family but the skunk saw him in a wall mirror and sprayed him. He had to take his wife and two kids to a motel. He had bought a pizza to eat and as he walked into the hotel room, with one child in his free arm, the pizza slipped out of the carton and flopped onto the floor, on its face. He had just purchased some sort of insurance the week before to protect the house and they went through the house and remodeled it. Sheesh.
