Was turning my 1st trustone blank this AM and thought it a little hot so I left it to cool while I did something else.

Well I moved a bag of stuff "out of the way". As I was coming back up, I caught the back corner of the table saw table with my forehead...:(:([xx(][?]

After I stopped the bleeding with my handy roll of Bounty, It was a nice clean 2 inch gash.

I just wanted to bandage it and get back to work but LOML insisted on a visit to our local hospital.

Yup, the MD glued it up with Dermabond--their high priced CA glue. Not only that she laid a purple bead of it all the way across my bald head to the hairline way in the back. I had to peel it loose and trim it off when I got home.

Had it been a Bubbasville East day (next Sat. Sept. 8 BTW), I would have just had one of the guys do the job and given him a few blanks and a beer.:)[8D]

PS The pen is done and I like trustone although it it slow to work with.

Joe,
I am glad to hear that it was not too serious.
I wonder if they need to use a different bottle of glue for each "operation" in order to avoid contamination. Could have asked for the remainder.[:D]

Yikes Joe! Get yourself some "pool noodles" and cover those dang corners! I finally resorted to that on the fence "extensions" on my bandsaw after scraping my sides one too many times[B)]

Glad to hear you're OK.

This is exactly why I take my sander and round over the corners of all exposed share area in my shop.

Glad to hear you will be OK. It could be worse if you had impacted a running blade.... Bounty would not have been enough.

Get well soon. Oh, and round off the corners of the table saw and anything else you might injure yourself on. [:)]

Haven't had to make ER run yet, but Thick CA is standard part of my first aid kit in the shop... mostly little nicks and cuts.. figure if I don't get a little blood in my work, it's not a good job.

About 5 years ago I had emergency appendectomy ... I think it was emergency.. I went to ER at 7:30 am and surgery was finally done about 11:50 that night.. my incision got glued together with super glue..
