Hi All,
Before you say it, I didn't step foot in one casino. Where I did step foot in is, Woodworkers Emporium, Micheal's, Jo-Ann's, Harbor Freight and the mall where we went to pick up her ring. That was the reason for the trip to begin with. Her wedding ring was in for sizing and to be welded together. While at the mall we went into Champ Sports. Boy was this an expensive trip. New weight lifting belt, new skew and lots of miscellaneous goodies. (not all from Champ of course)

Harbor Freight was pretty much what I expected it would be. Was my first time in one of their stores. Picked up some glue brushes, a cheap sharpening stone for kitchen knives and a couple of tackle box type organizers. I looked for the "blade sharpener" I posted about a couple of days ago, but they didn't have it.
Micheal's and Jo-Ann's was for her. Needle point and the such. I did pick up some Casten-craft dye.
It was a fun trip. Got to eat at In-n-Out. Had an ice cream. Nice day.
Thanks for listening.

I love Vegas even if it's just to people watch[8D]. I really like staying down on 4 corners in the Golden Nugget. Vegas has really cleaned up downtown and everything is so close. Sounds like you had a good time, especially the Mrs, she likes the same stores I do:)

She had fun Becca. She likes to find new and challenging projects. She has done some phenomenal stuff with needles. Then I make the frames and put in the glass.
Not sure where you live Tim, where is Anthem? We should see about hooking up some day. If you get over this way, let me know. I love to meet fellow craftsman.

Hey Steve, Anthem is about 25 miles north of Phoenix. We go through Wickenburg and Kingman to get there. The wife is biting at the bit to get there again soon.:D

Tim,
When you come through Kingman, don't take the highway over Hoover dam. Come through Golden Valley and over the pass. It'll put you about 30 miles out of your way but it should be worth it. We could even BBQ or something. Then when you head to Vegas, you just go up the pass and through CalNevAri and Searchlight. Same distance as the Kingman route. Think about it. E-mail me if you want, we can exchange #s.

To quote "The Boy From Oz" ( Peter Allan ) "I've been to cities that never close down." Vegas was one of them. I loved It! Never felt safer in my life!
We were in "Circus Circus" casino and couldn't find our way out. Our son was 7 os so at the time. Security pulled us up and said "I'm sorry sir, but if you don't leave now we will be forced to escort you from the premises."
To which I replied" I wish you would> I'm lost!"
I was very courteously shown the door, with apolite invitation to "come again, sir":):)[:p]
