Well'p it looks like I will now be traveling all of Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana for my full time job.

The way I see it I will have the opportunity to meet some of you face to face for some pen time when my schedule permits.

If you would be interested in meeting for lunch, or some shop time, let me know by PM'ing your state and info so that I can give you a heads up on my travel plans.

I look forward to meeting even more pen artists!

Glad the job's looking good. I remember when things weren't looking so great and you had my sympathies.

I'm not inyour States but if you come through Tennessee, you know you always have a place to crash in my home!

Anything else portable in the bed Ron? Nights can be long without some facilities closeby. DAMHIKT:D If you get farther west let us know, Utah is a great place to live and to visit.

Mike

Isn't it odd how one year there are massive layoffs....and then the next....? Thank-You for your support.

Don,
I no longer demonstrate and support the sheetrock line...very strange and huge mistake on the corporate level....I now demonstrate and support for the ceilings division. If you need an assist with joint compounds, corner beads, textures, levels of finish, or sheetrock you will need so contact someone else.;)

Mike,
My shell comes with sliding windows so a facility is included.:D

Ron,
I need help with my ceilings. Each time it rains hard mine drips water. Can you help? [8D]:D[}:)];)
Good luck with the new chores.
Do a good turn daily!
Don

LOL....Don, May I recommend a roofing contractor?

Dario,
I'll be in south Texas several times this year and would love to get together again.

Tell em to send you to the east coast.....particularly NC and give a yell. Not sure if the shop is clean enough for two, but I'll buy you some good barbecue pork. We call it barbecue, but didn't want to rile the Texas boys. [}:)]:D

I'm in Houston also, and always happy to meet a fellow penturner and maybe trade a homecooked meal to somebody that's on the road in exchange for some in shop demo's and general brain picking. I've got LOTS of questions :)

If your going to be in The Houston area, drop a note here or by pm and let us know which section of town your going to be in, and we'll let you know who's closest. Houston's a big place, and if your on one side, it can take a hour or two to get to the other, depending on traffic.

Ron,

I got a suggestion that'll probably get you promoted to VP!!!

Here in Wisconsin, we use 2 x 4's to support the ceilings!!!! Think of the manpower your company could save!!!

You're welcome!!!:D:D:D

Ron;

If you ever make your way up to Connecticut look me up, I still owe you a kick in the A.............

Exactly why I don't EVER want to live in Wisconson (even though my beloved Packers call it their home). In Connecticut we use something a little better that 2 x 4's to support our ceilings I'm not up on what is code but I think it's at least a 2 x 6 and most likely a 2 x 8 or better.

Perhaps you should consider changing your name to Chicken Little because sooner or later the sky will fall on you if all the support you have is a lil' old 2 x 4.... [^]

LOL....I'll be busy meeting everyone!

BTW.....I am in the commercial division so I am talking acoustical ceilings.

Yet I have been in construction so bloody long that I do have a question for ed4copies....Are your ceiling joists on 10" centers then covered with 1/4" drywall? Then covered with two coats on the joints and painted to remove any excess weight that would create a canopy look?

As soon as I saw this thread re-appear I rushed only to find that you guys are talking about walls and ceilings, How disappointing! [8D]

Yeah,

She also knows where to find clever "smilies" and won't tell me, so I'm left choosing among the [xx(][xx(][xx(] ones, over there on the right---------->
