Got home from another day of stripping.............
and sanding our daughter's kitchen cabinets only to find a beautifully marked lizard by my front door. He was about 8" to 10" long and was just chillin' by the door which is strange because they always scurry off. This guy sat there while I unlocked the door, bags rustling, dogs barking, so I figured something was wrong with him. Picked him up, checked him out and decided his skin would make the most beautiful pen............ couldn't bring myself to do that to him so I put him down and he just kinda sat there looking at me. I picked him up again and put him in the garden. He walked off a ways and turned to look at me, bobbed his head and took off. The top of his head was reddish orange that faded into gold, then the scales had a gorgeous pattern of red, gold, black and clear.....small and intricate. Would have made one beautiful pen.
