I got brave with my last little bit of juice and tried to dye some wood.
I did 2 colors.. One red using Alumalite dye and blue using an opaque dye I used with composites.
I pulled vacuum for 4 hours until all bubble stopped them left them to soak for a week. Probably overkill but they are nice and solid.
The Alumalite dye worked out great. It mixes easily with the juice and penetrated all the way through.
The blue was not as successful.. I got some light coloring in places but it's mostly plain. It did however fill in the cracks with a nice sold blue.
I still have 2 uncooked blue blanks that came out of the juice during the soak.
I think I'll try to double dye them in the red. Maybe I'll get a nice purple
The red blanks are cut and ready to become a Jr Gent II FP or Jr Statesman Roller.
