My 12 yr old daughter was in 3D art class today. The teacher's explaining about the different pieces of equipment in the shop, asking the kids if they know what they are. My daughter's the only one who correctly identifies the band saw, drill press and belt sander!

I tear up just thinking about it! :D

I'll wager that she can identify an oboe, bassoon, cello, and flugglehorn also![:D] Has she made a pen yet, or have you told us already and I missed it?
Do a good turn daily!

Ha! You'd win that wager, Don. She plays flute and is about to start learning bass guitar. She's tried her hand at a little turning, but is really content just sitting in the garage with me (my old leather broken down chair has been exiled to the garage by LOML), playing with the bottles of glitter, glue, and other stuff. She knows all the guys at Woodcraft and loves looking at all the acrylics and projects.

Maybe I'll get her to turn a pen this next year.

Three out of three is not THAT difficult. I bet I could get two out of three. [8D] Enjoy your companion. All too soon they discover boys.

Life's funny is it not? When my 3rd young fella found himself in High school he impressed the man arts teacher with his knowledge but spent so much time fooling around that he couldn't take advantage of it!
